Delete or export your data
Last updated: 26 July 2026
History XXI has no accounts — just an anonymous guest identity on your device. You can delete or export everything tied to it at any time.
Delete everything — in the app
The fastest way, and it takes effect immediately:
- Open History XXI.
- Go to Settings (the gear on the home screen).
- Tap Delete my data and confirm.
This permanently and irreversibly removes everything associated with your guest identity: your games and moves, your chronicles and ledger, records of any purchases, your display name, device notification tokens, and analytics events. Games you played alone are deleted outright; in shared worlds your moves stay part of the other players’ game history but your name is removed, leaving only an anonymous identifier. After deletion the app signs you out and creates a fresh, empty guest identity.
Export your data
In Settings → Export my data, the app produces a machine-readable JSON file with everything tied to your identity (your account, moves, chronicles, standings, purchase records, and analytics), which you can save or share.
If you’ve uninstalled the app
Because there is no account, deletion normally happens from inside the app. If you’ve already uninstalled and still want your server-side data erased, email lead@onym.app with your player ID and we will erase it within 30 days.
Your player ID is the identifier shown in Settings, under your display name. If you no longer have it, tell us your display name and roughly when you played and we’ll help locate it.
What we keep, and for how long
We keep only what the game needs to work (see the Privacy Policy). Once you delete your data it is gone from our systems; routine encrypted backups are rotated out on a rolling basis. We keep no third-party advertising or tracking data — there is none to delete.
